Tamar’s Class of Soul is a neo-soul artist from Prince George’s County, Maryland, who brings a heartfelt and timeless sound inspired by soul legends like Sade, Jill Scott, and Erykah Badu. Formerly known as Tammie Ingram, Tamar’s journey began at just 14 years old with a dream to move the world through music. Over the years, that dream matured into a powerful vision, transforming into the artist now known for her emotionally rich lyrics, smooth vocal delivery, and music that speaks to love, growth, and resilience.

Tamar introduced herself to the world with her 2012 debut Textures of Emotions, followed by Being Me in 2017—an EP that showcased her evolution as a vocalist, songwriter, and woman. The project blended old school soul with fresh, personal storytelling. After the global shutdown brought on by COVID-19, Tamar returned in 2022 with Reflection of Love, an upbeat, soul-stirring project shaped by years of introspection. Her most recent release, Vortex of Expression, dives even deeper—born from a time of social change and renewed purpose. It’s an album that touches on love, culture, and spiritual resilience, offering listeners a message of hope and strength during uncertain times.

Tamar collaborates with a team of talented musicians to create her signature sound. Her musical circle includes Ralf Martin and James Proctor (guitar), Tracy Francies (congos), and Sean Shorter (bass), Antwon Graham, Daryl Braxton, Nick Martin and Anthony Talley (keyboards), and drummers like Darrell Jackson, Kevin Smith, and Gary Smith. Together, they deliver a sound that’s both nostalgic and modern—designed to move hearts and uplift spirits.

With each release, Tamar’s Class of Soul continues to tour, share her story, and inspire audiences through music that’s full of meaning, substance, and soul.
